The much-anticipated October Budget may deliver far less room for manoeuvre than first thought. Panmure Liberum's Chief Economist Simon French, warns that surging inflation, costly borrowing, and persistent regulatory delays have eaten into fiscal headroom. That leaves little buffer before spending cuts or tax hikes enter the equation.
