In the latest manager update video for abrdn Asia Focus, Gabriel discusses the impact of tariffs, noting that while no one is entirely immune, he believes the effects on the portfolio will be indirect. 

He highlights that approximately 80% of revenue is driven by domestic growth in Asia. Gabriel also touches on exposure and opportunities in Taiwan, Korea, and India, and shares insights from his recent trip to China, where he visited several portfolio companies. 

He explains that the environment in China remains mixed, with companies reporting a slowdown in consumption trends between March and May - coinciding with rising U.S. tariffs. 

Gabriel highlights top holdings in China which are positioned around emerging consumption trends, including music subscriptions, pet food, travel, and internet platforms.
